Singer and guitarist Trini Lopez died on Tuesday (11) in Palm Springs, California. The artist was 83 years old. According to the magazine Palm Springs Life, Lopez passed away victim of the covid-19.
Trini Lopez was born in Dallas, Texas, on Ashland Street, Little Mexico. At the age of 12, he won a guitar his father, and at 15, he played in a nightclub called Cipango.
It was successful with several hits, such as the re-recording of La Bamba, America, Perfidia, If I Had A Hammer, Lemon Tree, Corazón de Melón, among others. He also participated in films, such as The Dirty Dozen, in the company of, among others, Lee Marvin and Telly Savallas.
Lopez won several awards including "Lenda Viva" of the year 2007.
